Official's Registration (Ringette Association Of Burlington)

PrintOfficial's Registration

Interested in becoming an Official?

Becoming a Ringette Official takes time, dedication and commitment.  Often for young people reffing in any sport is their first steps into the wonderful world of work and part-time jobs.  As an official, you are expected to accept a level of personal responsibility, not your parents.  You will need to follow up with the Referee-in-Chief for game requests promptly, review your personal schedules regularly for scheduling conflicts and maintain punctuality to be at your games early, so you are on the ice and the teams are not waiting for you.

We have some basic requirements we ask:

1)  14 years old at the beginning of this playing season, This is Ringette Canada Policy

2)  Attend a Level one Officials Clinic- cost approx $120.00  RAB will reimburse you for this.

3) Available to cover at least 10 games throughout the season.

Being an official is a learning experience and always will be.  The more games you officiate, the more comfortable you will become. The majority of games you would be asked to cover as a beginner will be U8, U9, and U10 games.

We will provide your ORA registration fee.

We will provide on ice shadowing with experienced referees and feedback.

If you agree to the requirements and are interested, please fill out the following application at the link below.

Referee Clinic will be held in October this year (details coming soon).

Attention all current Refs: This is a Rule Change Year so all Officials will be required to take the clinic to be brought up to speed on the new rule change.

If you have any questions please contact the Referee-in-Chief.
