+18B GOLD in Pickering

Our OPEN team has come together just in time to pull off a Golden performance at the Pickering tournament December 2 – 4. Burlington started the tournament cautiously with a 3 -  3 tie with Ajax, then swept the next two opponents with convincing wins, 4 – 1 over Pickering, and 8 – 3 over York-Simcoe.  In the final, Burlington played a strong disciplined game capitalizing on the opportunities presented when Ajax took 8 minor penalties  and won the match 4 -2. 

The offensive players of the tournament were: Dominique Doiron (8 pts); Darcy Williams (8 pts); Ashley Scott (6 pts) and Lindsay Haig(6 pts). However, it was the defensive play of Ashlee Spence that earned the nod for the player of the tournament with some very exciting defensive steals and displaying excellent leadership on our breakouts. Congratulations Ladies!
